Doug Schaer
President and Chief Executive Officer, Concept Entertainment
Group, LLC
Doug Schaer is the President and CEO of Concept Entertainment
Group, LLC ("CEG"). CEG is a sports and entertainment
asset development company whose mission is to grow through minority
acquisitions and/or creative affiliations with synergistic properties.
This unique arrangement allows CEG unlimited access to these
holdings so it can broker effective funding, marketing, production
and operational solutions that help these investments interact
to realize their full potentials. CEGs sports holdings
include an array of management companies, infomercial projects,
TV and feature film projects, licensing, manufacturing and distribution
companies, as well as other sports related investments. CEG
also owns a minority stake in the Chicago Shamrox, an NLL expansion
team. For more information visit http://www.conceptentgoup.com.
Prior to co-founding CEG, Dougs sports industry practice
included representing as agent, advisor, attorney and/or marketing
representative some of the biggest names in sports. He has also
sourced and negotiated deals involving a broad spectrum of sports
and entertainment companies. These opportunities have allowed
Doug to form close relationships with many of the top personalities
in the industry including first-round draft picks, Rookie of
the Year candidates, MVP's, Hall of Famers, team owners and
members of the media. Much of the success that he has achieved
in the sports industry is a credit to his ability to rely on
more than his pure business knowledge. His most notable and
discernable asset is his particular understanding of the sports
landscape along with the relationships he has built within it.
A native of New Jersey, Doug received a B.A. in Government from
Wesleyan University in Connecticut, where he was a four-year
varsity letterman and two-year basketball team captain. Following
graduation, Doug played and coached professional basketball
overseas. In May 1998, Doug, a certified player agent with the
MLBPA, received his law degree from the University of Southern
California and became a member of the California Bar. He currently
resides in Los Angeles with his wife Karin. |
